I've cried many times while reading (to some degree this might be connected with a fact that I'm a hypersensitive person) but what I remember quite intensely was when I read 'A Prayer For Owen Meany' by John Irving.
[SPOILER ALERT] Just the idea of your mother being accidentally killed by your best friend, which you know is the sweetest person in the world and which loved her just as much as you - just the idea itself - makes me wanna cry again... This book broke my heart and at the same time it was one of the most beautiful stories I've ever read.

Oh gosh, there are so many!
But here are a few;
One Christmas Eve. By Lisa Mcclung
at the bridge collapse,
At the intense dog rescues
At the forgiveness and restoration scene

The prodigal comes home;
The story of Michael English
Omg! I cried all through it!! At all the horrible things that happened to him as a kid. All the torture. The abuses. His downward spiral with drugs.
His helpful friends; Vestal Goodman, Wynonna and Neomi Judd. Plus others who helped him pick his life up and completely turn it around.
I cried at the stories of unbelievable forgiveness and re-acceptance.

The Shack.
I’ve read it at least 8-10 times!!
I cry each time and I swear they add new stuff to it!

The books by Mary Katherine Backstrom.
Her many struggles and triumphs.

There are others, but this is good for now.

There’s others, but this is enough.

The Notebook by Nicholas Sparks had me sobbing at the end.
A Lesson Before Dying by Ernest J. Gaines-no matter how many times I reread or watch the movie, I cry at the scene when the children go to see Jefferson before his execution

Sometimes I just need a good cry. You know, the kind of ugly crying where you can’t really breathe and you start hiccupping and you can no longer differentiate snot from tears. It’s cathartic, I swear. Nothing gets my waterworks going like heart-wrenching (but not sappy) books with doomed characters or hopeless situations. Have tissues at the ready, if you are gonna read "Me before You" by "Joyo Moyes".

When an author's writing is just fantastic and their characters grow on me so much, I am physically not okay after the author kills that character off.

For example, in Allegiant by Veronica Roth, I spent so much time reading about a character and when that character died, I had to hold in my angry tears because I was ANGRY and SAD and refused to buy the series because I was so MAD. This is why I will admit that the Divergent series is the only series that was better than the books (Because I'm petty and liked the ending in the movie better than the book).

Another one was Night of the Dragon by Julie Kagawa; I read that at night when everyone else was sleeping and I was close to breaking down in a sob-fest and waking up my roommates. If anyone is interested in an anime-like novel, definitely check it out!

The first full-length novel I read was P.S. I Love You by Cecelia Ahern, which made me bawl my eyes out at the injustice of Holly losing Gerry. That book was an eye-opener because up until that point, I never knew books could make you lose sleep and appetite. Nowadays, I freely let emotions flow irrespective of what book I am reading.

There are so many. I think the one that sticks out the most, though, is Kingdom of Ash by Sarah J. Maas. Honestly, I think every book in the series made me cry, but that one was the worst! :lol:

The book that made me cry was The Notebook by Nicholas Sparks. It's a romantic novel in which a young man Noah returns from World War II and meets the love of his life, after a separation of seven years.
It's a must read.

No book has made me cry like The Holy Quran did: very emotional book with great phrases of decisive moments between a father and his son like Noah or between God and his servant.
This book has sweetness, and delightfulness, his top is fruitful, and the bottom is bestowed.
It is above everything and nothing is above it.
