Review of The Origins of the Crisis between Israel and the Palestinians
The true way to lasting peace is by reflecting on past actions and taking steps to make amends. Hence, it is important to understand the origin of a problem while attempting to solve that problem. The Origins of the Crisis Between Israel and the Palestinians by Ismail Rifaat is a book based on the personal perspective of the author that examines the actions of the Middle Eastern countries and their impacts of these actions on the local and international scale.
The book began with an overview of the Middle East countries and the historical background of Egypt. It examined the progressive development of Egypt from the perspective of the author. The book described how Israel became an internationally recognized country with the creation of the Zionist movement and the devastating impact of their war against Palestine. The role of the U.S. in promoting the war by supporting Israel was also carefully discussed. The book went further to show how different Middle Eastern countries have been affected by old and new leadership problems and the roles of both political and religious leaders in the ongoing conflicts in these regions. It carefully examines the role of religion in the ongoing feuds.
I completely enjoyed reading this book. It was an eye-opening read that showed me the true impact of war, not only on the citizens of the countries but on other countries. The book was written in a non-biased or sentimental way, which made it a thought-provoking read. The book was carefully arranged in a manner that made it very easy to follow through and enjoy. I particularly loved how the book began with an introduction and a map, making it easy for readers without any knowledge of the subject matter to follow through and enjoy the book.
I did not dislike anything about the book. It was beautifully written in simple and non-ambiguous English, making it an interesting read. It is also a short and concise read but very detailed and engaging. I found a few grammatical errors while reading the book, but they did not significantly impact my reading experience. I also loved the absence of religious biases, which makes it suitable for everyone.
I rate this book five out of five stars for its excellently written and informative content. I wholeheartedly recommend this book for individuals intent on understanding the origin and reason for the proliferation of war in the Middle East region and the U.S.'s role in it. I also recommend it for anyone interested in politics in the Middle East. This is an amazing read.
