Another badass I always liked was Gene Hackman's portrayal of Lex Luthor in Superman. I cant think of any one hero, but John Wayne is probably my all around favorite, especially in The Searchers. Thats one of his best movies I think.

Gannon wrote:My favourtie hero is Atticus Finch played by the incredible Gregory Peck. Favourite villian is a little bit harder, maybe Guy pearce in "The Count of Monte Christo" simply because we watched it again the other night. :) Or maybe Al Pacino as the devil in "The Devil's Advocate".

Loved Al Pacino as the devil - has there been a better devil?

He is good isn't he? Especially at the end when he starts to lose his cool. I have not see many movies with the devil but Al Pacino is the best one I have seen, brilliant actor.
If you are not having fun......then what is the point.

Just like Gannon, I would choose Atticus Finch has my favourite hero, and of course, no one could portray the role any finer than Gregory Peck did. Favourite villain would be a little harder; Gil-Martin, I think, from The Private Memoirs and Confessions of a Justified Sinner and who better to play the role than the extremely talented Gary Oldman.
