Nominations for February Book of the Month

The December book of the month is The House of the Dead by Fyodor Dostoevsky. The January book of the month is Doctor Zhivago by Boris Pasternak. This thread is to nominate books for the February book of the month.

Please, no more than one nomination per person.

I will leave this thread open for nominations until January 1st. On January 1st, I will post a thread for everyone to vote on all the nominations. The book that gets the most votes will be the February book of the month.

To make a nomination, please post both the author's name and the title of the book.

First off, Doctor Zhivago is by Boris Pasternak, not Dr. Zhivago as you have written.

The Possessed (otherwise translated as The Devils or The Demons) by Fyodor Dostoevsky

Trying again. I nominate Shadow of the Cross by Carolyn Garriott. It is hard to describe this book. It is an esciting read, moving emotionally, and intellectually stimulating. All in all a book well worth a second read.
