Bent But Not Broken

BENT BUT NOT BROKEN

No matter what type of games Satan tries to play in my life;

I realize the only reason he bothers me is to stir up strife;

Satan wants me to be crippled with infirmities and miss out on my blessings from on high;

He wants me to suffer, he wants me to give up and die;

But I refuse to be bound and defeated; I refuse to give up;

I am going to wait on God to fill up my cup.

Bent But Not Broken.

I know that God has a husband He has molded in His image for me;

I just don’t know when that time will be;

Now Faith is the substance of things hoped for and the evidence of this not seen;

Trust in God always because people say things they don’t mean;

Don’t put your trust in man; he will lie to your face;

Through Satan, a man will perform his task swiftly and with haste.

Bent But Not Broken.

A man does not care about your feelings; he does not care about your life;

He will stomp on your heart and cut out your joy with a knife;

A man wants what he wants and he will do anything to get it no matter what it takes;

Even if it’s a true friendship to fake;

No matter what the cost a man will try to physically and mentally beat you down;

If you let it continue you to miss out on your crown.

Bent But Not Broken.

A man will smile in your face and tell you what he thinks you need to hear;

Without any reverence to God and without fear;

A man will tell you that he love you and care for you;

He will tell you there is nothing he would not do;

But in the end the truth will come to light and you will be hurt;

To know that a man you loved truly treated you like dirt.

Bent But Not Broken.

No matter what a man does to hurt me and make me feel low;

I am going to continue to let the God in me show;

No matter how much a man tries to bring me down, still I rise;

I will ensure that I keep my eye on the prize;

I am going to hold my head up high and be proud of myself;

And I am going to pray and believe in God until death.

Bent But Not Broken.

For God healed me from my infirmity, God has set me free;

God has opened my eyes and now I can see;

God did not give me a spirit of fear but a sound mind;

To praise His All Mighty name and worship everyday sublime;

God has healed me and I thank Him for doing wonderful things for me;

I thank Him for filling my broken heart with glee.

Bent But Not Broken.

It's beautifully written and potrays ones faith on God. I, for once got completely drawn into the feelings with which it is written.
