I didn't know I could love again
how could I he hurt me so
I didn't know I could trust again
how could I he lied to me
I didn't know I could feel safe again
how could I he hurt me so

This poem causes many different thoughts for me. I have to applaud you because I keep re-reading it trying to figure out why one would feel this way, to this degree of repetitiveness, with little to go off of other than the fact that there is a negative vibe flowing from the words. I say that to show it is captivating in its own way because as human beings the natural curiosity is what keeps us reading on, but I feel incomplete and unable to connect with the work itself because what I could latch onto so as to understand the pain being portrayed is absent. All in all I still enjoy it immensely because of the conflicting emotions it causes me. That is the way I hope to feel at the end of a poem so job well done in my opinion.

I liked this. Even though it's short it brings up questions of trust and love.
