October Book of the Month Tiebreaking Vote

Post Number:#1  Postby Scott » 27 Sep 2007, 17:36

To tiebreak the last vote, we will now hold a vote between the tied books. You can use the following links to review the books before voting:

The Glass Castle by Jeannette Walls

The Five People You Meet in Heaven by Mitch Albom

The vote will be open for 3 days from the time of this post.

Thanks,
Scott

It seems there's equal interest among members between these two books. If it's still a tie, if I could suggest, maybe we could read both of them. We could read one in Oct and the other in Nov... Just a suggestion. :)

That's a good suggestion. At the very least, we can include whichever book we don't read of the two in the vote for Novembers book (which I plan to hold earlier in November, to give people more time to get it.)

The Glass Castle has a slightly higher rating on Amazon, so if there is another tie let's read that one first. :) Does anyone have a problem with that?

Thanks,
Scott

The Glass Castle won the vote and is the October book of the month. Go out and get it! :)

I think I'll do the discussions on Wednsdays this month. So, I'll start the discussion for the first sixth of the book on Wednsday October 10th.

I'll start the discussion for the first half on the 17th, and for the whole book on the 24th.

Thanks,
Scott
