I'd have to say Thomas Pynchon -- besides all of the standard reasons to dig an author: style, wit, creativity, voice, he's also the only author that I've read the entire oeuvre of.

Julian Barnes

Changes actually with the moment. But I'd have to say Julian Barnes. Love his stuff. It's as if he somehow knows what is going on inside your head and then writes novels about it. S cary, you end up looking over your shoulder and thinking 'this is me.'

I've been contemplating picking that book up for a while. Let me know how it is when you're done with it =)

A bit off topic. Weave, I'm curious to see a bit more of that Stain boy comic strip. :) Is there a site?

Favorite author? Hmmm...I think I'll go with Victor Hugo on this one. Les Miserables and The Hunchback of Notre Dame are my main reasons. However, there are many authors that I would like to read, but haven't yet which include: Vladimir Nabokov, Goethe, Julius Caesar, A.C. Doyle, etc.

I'm short of ideas right now, but the list goes on and on...

My favourite author has to be Beatrix Potter whose stories were my childhood. She is a lovely childrens author and I still (at age 17) love her stories. <3
