Hello there!

Post Number:#1  Postby TrishF » 13 May 2007, 19:34

Just wanted to post a quick intro. My name is Trish and I live in NE Indiana with my husband Randy and my 16 year old daughter Amanda. Between Randy and I we have 8 children and 5, soon to be 6, grandchildren!

I enjoy reading, digital scrapbooking and genealogy.

Currently I work a home business while at the same time growing my home library. I also attend classes at Axia College of University of Phoenix online, studying for my Associates Degree in Information Technology.

I'm looking forward to the interaction here on the forum!

Hi!!

What is digital scrapbooking, if I might ask? Sounds intriguing.

When scrapbooking with paper, you design a page, add some pictures, and add some ribbon or lace or bows, etc. Well, digital scrapbooking is the same except that it's all done on the computer. Some people hybrid scrapbook, which means they make a digital page and print it out to use in their paper scrapbooks or they print out elements and then use them on their paper pages. The ones that only do digital pages, like myself, keep the files on their computer.

It's very similar to a paper scrapbook page but doesn't clutter up the house, only my hard drive. LOL

Thanks for asking!

Welcome to the forums. Are there specific programs out there to do it? I have MS so it makes scrapbooking messy and frustrating. I love doing it, but rarely pick it up anymore :)

Again welcome! I hope to see you around!

Thanks for the welcome! Yes, there are some computer software programs that allow you to work with your digital images. I use Paint Shop Pro from Corel to do my pages. But there are other programs with everything already loaded for you and all you have to do is add your photos. Take a look at http://www.scrapbookmax.com/. I haven't tried that program though. You'll have to let me know if you do go ahead and try digital scrapbooking! I warn you though, it is highly addictive!

I saw a software cd for digital scrapbooking and I had to pick it right up!! So if I have any problems I'm coming to you! It looks pretty easy, though! I'm excited! (If you couldn't tell by the abundance of !!)
