Post Number:#1  Postby Scott » 03 Dec 2009, 14:17

Please use this thread to vote on the January book of the month. The poll will be open until December 15th. Whichever book has the most votes then will be the January book of the month. Click any of the following links to get more information about the nominations:

The Curious Incident of the Dog in the Night-Time by Mark Haddon

The Firestone Syndrome by Stephen P. Beeler

Let the Right One In by John Ajvide Lindqvist

The Last Flight of The Flamingo by Mia Couto

The Loch by Steve Alten

The Pillars of the Earth by Ken Follett

Please try to vote for the book that you think would be best for the entire group to read and discuss not just your personal favorite.

Thanks!
Scott

I hope the Firestone Syndrome doesn't win. It's $135 on Amazon (according to that link that was posted). I don't think I want to spend that much money on a BotM.

The Loch by Steve Alten looks really good. I'm going to have to pick that one up.

January Book of the Month

I've already read Curious Dog and the last book on the list which I can't remember its title because all I can see is the box I'm replying in. I'm not interested in any other choices so I guess I'm good for January.

I thought so too! I voted for Let the Right One in though because I own it. It was between The Loch and that for me.

The votes are in! The January book of the month is The Curious Incident of the Dog in the Night-Time by Mark Haddon. So get it, read it and discuss it with the rest of us in January! :D
