I saw this a while back. it was an opening line of a movie from 1928.

Half of the women in the world are working, the other half are working men. From Three Broadway Girls.
"I planted some birdseed. A bird came up. Now I dont know what to feed it." Ramblings of a retired senile mind.

@MaryV1971 Good one. Bob Dylan has got lots of them.
"she's got everything she needs
she's an artist and she don't look back
she'll take the night out of the daytime
and paint the daytime black."

"my love she speaks in silence
with no idea of violence
yes, she's true
like ice, like fire."
You can only be grounded if you're crazy. If you come to me and tell me you should be grounded because you're crazy, I won't ground you.
Why not: Because crazy people don't think they're crazy.

From Blake's "Auguries of Innocence":

To see a world in a grain of sand
And a heaven in a wild flower,
Hold infinity in the palm of your hand,
And eternity in an hour.

I like this segment from Lights by Ellie Goulding:

You show the lights that stop me turn to stone
You shine it when I'm alone
And so I tell myself that I'll be strong
And dreaming when they're gone

'Cause they're calling, calling, calling me home
Calling, calling, calling home
You show the lights that stop me turn to stone
You shine it when I'm alone

And this segment from Umbrella beach by Owl City:

When chandeliers light up the engine room
Can you feel the drops as it starts to rain
There's an underwater Ferris wheel
where I found the missing link to this island chain

And this segment from Only Time by Enya:

Who can say when the roads meet
That love might be in your heart
And who can say when the day sleeps
If the night keeps all your heart
Night keeps all your heart

I love the na na na's in We are young by Fun feat. Janelle Monae. It makes the song really fun to listen to and can put me in a cheerful mood :)

I love that song!

My favorite song lyric / line would have to be:
And what you say about his company
Is what you say about society.
By Rush, Tom Sawyer.
