Re: Who's Your Favorite Author?
Arthur Ashe is my favorite arthur because I felt the other arthur(Treacher) used too much salt on his fish and chips.
Why not: Because crazy people don't think they're crazy.

Twain, Oscar Wilde, Victor Hugo, Alice Munro, Ayn Rand, Anias Nin, Douglas Adams, Asimov, Anne Lamott, Dickens, Poe, Agatha Christie, Pablo Neruda, Gabriel Garcia Marquez, (1oo Years of Solitude) Borges, Julia Alvarez,
but my all time fav for many years has been Isabel Allende, if you like Latin American magical realism and all that, none of her books are awful but hands down next to Gone WIth The Wind and Anna Karenina and Les Miserables you must have The House of the Spirits

Someone told me to read A Prayer For Owen Meany, which may be one of the best books of all time
Since then I have read The Ciderhouse Rules and A Widow for one Year and The Hotel New Hampshire. I recently picked up Setting Free the Bears at the library for ten cents.
I never feel richer than when there are half a dozen books sitting on the shelf that I haven't read yet!!!
