Strict Anti-Spam Rules (for authors and publishers)

So that we can provide faster and better support, this forum (the "Public Suggestion Box") has been retired. Instead, please send any suggestions you have to us using the official website contact form.

This allows us to streamline our support system so that we can get to your message much faster. Instead of our support staff having to check three different places (support forum, suggestion box, and contact form messages), they know can respond to all message through one method, with that one method being the official website contact form.

I am not an author, but I hope to be one day soon. I've read the rules and it is well understood. We all need such guidelines otherwise this forum could easily become a store!

Hi, I have had my account for a few days now (definitely more than three) and still cannot edit my information. What should I do?

It wasn't three days at the time of your post. It has been now. Can you try again?

Hello, I am a new member and this is the first time I seen restrictions like this and I actually love it. Everytime I go to some forum you wonder about the post and everyone posting. This makes me feel better about my membership with your site. Thanks for that.

Hey,

Sorry to trouble you. I just finished uploading my book Silver Knight for review. During the process, I noticed a request link to plug in the ISBN. However, once I finished uploading, I could not seem to navigate back to the screen with the link. Can you help me out?

Thanks,
Caron

The link should have been emailed to you when you first submitted/activated your review request.

Hello Scott,
Thanks for these guidelines. On the quick reply page and below it says publishers cannot make a post about their own book, but on this page states you cannot post a link to the book. I do not wish to post a link to the book but would simply like to respond to comment made by the reviewer. Specifically one line was not printed in the book and I would like to let readers of the review know that this is has been corrected. Is a reply from a publisher permitted?

Thanks in advance for your response and for making this terrific site available.

Thanks,
Gillian

So excited to find your site, Scott. As a fledgling author I'm thrilled to post my book for a review. But imagine the 20 year timeline it took to get my book into print, to try to make it perfect, to find this site where a review could start the whole snowball rolling, to upload the book, add the description and the author's bio from my E-store, to reread what I had uploaded and discover ...... OH NO!!!! I left out one word in the author's bio, the simple word "THE."
MORTIFIED
....and right when I'm talking about how my parents read to me and I learned to "listen to flow of words."
How can I make such a dumb mistake.
I've been demoralized all day long thinking, "No one will want to read my book now."
What a dufus...
Oh well. Love this site though. Thanks for this wonderful gift to the writers and readers of our world.

Hi there Scott, I am a new member and not sure I understand everything fully as yet. Do I wait 3 days then review a book I'm currently reading. Then I'm allowed to select a book from the list and review it? Please advise. Thanks
