I try to keep my mind open to a diverse range of fiction, so I still read YA fiction because I'm still relatively a teenager (college freshmen). Coming of age fiction is always the most emotional kind of literature to me. I'd recommend The Catcher in the Rye
(always makes me well up in parts), A Separate Peace
, The Perks of Being a Wallflower
, and Looking for Alaska
. The latter two people will say are over-rated or too mushy, but they're just being stiff
If you're not too turned off by John Green (some people are), you might also read Paper Towns
. Very beautiful little story.
