I loved the movie "The Life Before her Eyes". Haven't read the book yet, but the movie really hit me.

This is going to seem strange probably but I cried during one of Anne Rice's books...One of her vampires tried to off himself by staying out in the sunlight during the day, and it just happened to be my favorite character. So it wasn't so much that it was a sad part to the story, but more that I was afraid he was going to be gone for good from the series.

I'm a real sook when it comes to books - there's heaps that have made me cry.

A Child Called It - had me sobbing the whole way through, I had trouble reading it through all the tears.
Cujo - any story that has a child dying gets to me.
Animal Farm
It

There's so many.....

One I always thought was sad is Arthur C. Clarke's Dogstar.

You are welcome.
You should be able to write a reply in "What was the last book you read and your rating" section in the "General" topic, I was just interested what made you cry buckets :D , any book that can evoke emotion should be worth a look, or, for want of a better word, would you consider it a "chic book".

The only time I can recall crying over a book was when I was 5 and a classmate smacked me with it, but who knows, perhaps in futue.
