My favorite poetry book is 'Bidrohy' which means the rebel- by the famous Indian poet Kaji Najrul Islam. It's a Bengali poetry book. A book where he has rebelled against all tyranny and strain. Which one is your favorite poetry book.
Hi.. guy's I choose a dramatic poem: King Lear, by Shakespeare, or someone who called himself "Shakespeare". It's simply, and impossibly complicatedly, beautiful, clever, and heart-breaking beyond any other poem, for me.
If you're looking for Meaning over Form, you can't go wrong with Rumi, Coleman Barks' translation or anyone else's. He lived over 700 years ago, but he explains modern life as well as any of our contempories. I feel like everything's somewhere in Rumi if you can only find it, as it is with Shakespeare.
