"Why is everyone trying to think out side the box? Why don't we just fix what is on the inside"

Not sure where this is from, but one of my teachers said it, and I live by it now.

"Ah your Majesty, there is no second" Quote is the answer to Queen Victoria's question after watching the
American schooner, "America" cross the finish line first ahead the British scooner. The date is 22 August 1851,
and marks the beginning of the America"s Cup Sailing Competition. It's rather an obscure quote, but is delivered
with such finality(At least in my minds eye) that I am in awe.

I have recently discovered the meaning of life, so I created my own quote to go with it:

"I have just found out that life is about survival and pro-creation. So lets eat and have sex!" -

"There's to many favorite quotes to choose from!" - Me

One that I just read and liked though is "The wisest men follow their own direction" - Euripides.

Music was my refuge. I could crawl into the space between the notes and curl my back to loneliness
--Maya Angelou

I enjoyed my life when I had nothing... and kinda like the idea of just being happy with me.

My favorite: I have always imagined that Paradise will be a kind of library. ~ Jorge Luis Borges

It is what you read when you don't have to that determines what you will be when you can't help it. ~Oscar Wilde

In the case of good books, the point is not to see how many of them you can get through, but how many can get through to you.
----- Mortimer Adler-- American philosopher

When I am dead, I hope it may be said:
"His sins were scarlet, but his books were read." –Hilaire Belloc

"A room without books is like a body without a soul."
— Marcus Tullius Cicero

"So many books, so little time."
— Frank Zappa

"Outside of a dog, a book is man's best friend. Inside of a dog it's too dark to read."
— Groucho Marx (The Essential Groucho)

"The man who does not read good books has no advantage over the man who can't read them."
— Mark Twain

"Good friends, good books and a sleepy conscience: this is the ideal life."
— Mark Twain

As you can see, I love quotes - book quotes in particular. I even have a Cafe Press store wher I put book quotes on items - usually in a frame of some type. I also make art about books - a pop art image of Oscar Wilde, for example
