I come from a long line of readers. Grandparents, parents, aunts, uncles, siblings. When I was growing up, my father read a huge variety of literature, forever expanding his knowledge, and he read the newspaper every day. My mother read a lot of class-act authors and loved W. Somerset Maugham, P G Wodehouse, etc. She always had the Australian Women's Weekly beside her knitting basket. Needless to say, my extended family reads voraciously but at the moment I'm the only one who loves reading and crossword puzzles.
