Clarity is Bingeing on Books

Hi, I am woman, hear me roar...only kidding: Female, 40 almost, holder of Aussie passport, expatriating in the Middle East. I'm a full-time mum to a 6month old boy. I go through reading phases where I may not pick up a book for months, then all of a sudden - wham - I seem to digest books like a starving silverfish. Sadly, I don't know anyone in my circle who enjoys reading fiction (how sad is that on so many levels). After a good read, it would be nice to be able to discuss the book with someone. I haven't had the pleasure since high school. I'm currently in one of my voracious reading binges, thanks to my new Kindle which I just love. My taste in books is pretty broad, though I tend to stay away from pure romance novels unless there is something more to it. I also stay away from Horror; i.e. Stephen King although a good novelist, he gives me the heeby geebies, and mixed with a good imagination...well, I do want to be able to sleep again. So, I opened up my Google homepage, typed in "online book discussion" and here I am. Hello everyone, it's a pleasure to be here.
