Brian Keene would be the perfect author to have a beer with.

Since he is one of my all time favorites I would say mark Twain would be great to have a beer with. I am sure he could get telling some great stories.

A few drinkies with Jasper Fforde would be some entertainment ... although my grasp of reality would be tenuous at best afterwards.

Your comment made me giggle, Fran. The combination of drinkies, Jasper Fforde and reality would need to be approached with definite caution!

It would have to be Mark Twain, a few beers to loosen the tongue and I'm sure the stories would flow!

Jon Longhi, definitely. Just one beer, though...I'd never be able to keep up with him after that!
How perfectly goddamned delightful it all is, to be sure.

Stephen King - seems like a very unassuming fellow in spite of his phenomenal success. i would enjoy talking baseball with him.

Neal Stephenson - Would keep you engaged and laughing with his humor and wit, I imagine, although one would definitely feel intellectually inferior in his presence.

Larry McMurtry - Could regale you with fascinating tales about the American West.

Mary Shelley without a doubt, if she were alive. Especially if her father, (Godwin), mother (Wolstonecraft) and her husband (Shelley) were invited! What a family to drink with!

At this point in time I would love to have a nice glass of wine (or two) with Erin Morgenstern.
If you are not having fun......then what is the point.

Christopher Hitchens although after the first five minutes with him, my brain would be fried I would need a stiff gin.

Robert Anton Wilson and Robert Shea - I think they are both dead now, but that would have been brilliant!
Maybe share a long smoke with both of them - lol
