Tells the true story of a woman from Sierra Leone whose hands were brutally chopped off and her family killed in a civil war. An absolute must-read, would have some great discussion!

Sounds like a stomach turner I think Frozen Solid by James Tabor might get some good discussion. It plays with the ideas of genetic manipulation, murder, and intrigue.

I have created the topic to vote for the August book of the month. I have also created the subforum to discuss the June book, Divergent.
Please continue to use this topic to post nominations. As of the time of this post, nominations are currently for September.

An old book you chose. I have read it in my youth and liked it. Anyway, Scott stated that one of the requirements for Nominations is that the "original publication date must have been in the last 10 years".prarich wrote:The Fountainhead by Ayn Rand

A satirical book that has the potential to generate lots of conflicting emotions & much to discuss
