I've always thought that the ratings were a little too narrow, and sometimes it was difficult to choose.

I personally feel like the 5-star system allows you to be a little more neutral when it comes to books that you're sure other people would like, but that just weren't a good fit for you.

Keep in mind that the rating for an official review should not be based on your personal preferences. It should be an objective review.

Not only that, it effectively switches it from four possible ratings to seven--without nullifying old ratings. I like that
