This is my first post ... so hope I'me doing this right. I'd like to nominate Guernsey Literary and Potato Peel Pie Society by Mary Ann Shaffer.

Although its just occurred to me it may have already been done - is there a list of previous "books of the month"

Stargate: The Twins ~Jon Layne Fisher eBook and softcover at Amazon or Smashwords

The book is classic Stargate, and not a romance novel. It is set after all the Stargate series are complete, so the action is new and very interesting. What is so unique about the book is the comedy and liberal attitudes hidden in the military action and science. Not for conservatives or people of faith.

Arthur and George by Julian Barnes, a lovely book about 2 very different characters from early 20th century Britian thrown together to overthrow a miscarriage of justice, its pacing and duel storytelling is very clever and I really enjoyed it. :D

What about Woman Warrior by Maxine Hong Kingston? Great combination of literary non-fiction and mythology.

Motherless Brooklyn by Jonathan Letham
or
Genghis: Birth of an Empire

I think either would lead to interesting discussions.

"Dust" by Jacquiline Druga. She is the author of many books that look to our future. In this one America has an unexpected surprise. People are caught unaware and off guard. This is an excellent book about what "could" happen. It is entertaining and informative. Very thought provoking
