Depends on what I'm writing. Garage/punk, psychobilly, blues, or ragtime.
I need to get my hands on some Django soon, actually.
How perfectly goddamned delightful it all is, to be sure.

I do not really like to listen to any music when I'm writing. But if the blowing of wind and a palpitation of the leaves we can call the music.... so I prefer such music :P

Sometimes I listen to slow jam type of song, but I don't usually listen to music when I write because I easily get distracted.

I tend to write "disturbed" and "upsetting" things, so I suppose that I listen to a lot of depressing music while I write them. It's how I let out my feelings, if that weren't stereotypical enough for ya!

I listen to classical music most of the time, my favorite composers being: Bach, Beethoven, and Dvorak. This may seem strange, but I also enjoy listening to Frank Zappa(he is the only rock artist I like.)

Light music, I think. Lyrics is a distraction to me.

When I'm writing a poem I seldom listen to music because I can't focus and I easily become distracted that I can't totally finish my work.
