They were big out west, too. Wasnt buddy Rich the one who died of a heart attack while performing?

I just heard an oldie, Rocket 88 by Bill Haley And The Saddlemen before they became The Comets. A country tune, but there were hints of later rock+roll in it.

Today Ive been listening to The Canadian Sweethearts with Bob Regan and Lucille Starr. Great group. Lucille Star did a lot of songs on her own. She did country but a lot of her songs were in French. Kind of the same style as Edith Piaf.

Speaking of Edith Piaf, " Je Regrette Rien " is one of my all time fave songs...

Right now Im Listening to The Astronauts, a 60's surf music group. Oddly enough, none of the band members ever surfed, but they played some awesome music.

They were great. I saw them in person in Salt Lake years ago. They really put on a good show.

There's something I just really love about Panic! At the Disco. My song obsession right now is the piano version of "This is Gospel":

They are still surfin away. I heard something interesting a while back about Bonnie Guitar. She is around 90 and still performs.

Ive been listening to The Soul Of Spain by 101 Strings. Great bullfight music, wild dancing senoritas with castinets and roses in their teeth, etc.
