This is the place for readers of poetry. Discuss poetry and literary art. You can also discuss music here, including lyrics. Also, you can discuss poets themselves, in addition to poetry.

Every word you say is poetry

Post by Jr13ramos »

Any word, phrase, or sentence is poetry, in my view. Even the silly things that come out of your mouth is poetry. It determines your abilities and what type of personality you have.

Never have I ever....

I've never thought of poetry in this way. Thank you for your perspective, it is really thought-provoking. I have to admit that when I first read your post, I didn't agree with you, but then I realized that maybe I don't pay enough attention to what others are saying. Art is everywhere if we are willing to open our eyes and ears to it.

Somebody has to say it, so I will bite the bullet and do it.

Not really, because we speak sentences, poetry is phrases, incomplete sentences. But every word we speak could be quotes :D

I'd have to disagree as well. Poetry takes much more effort than the average sentences. <-- Was that poetry? I think not! :)

I haven't really thought of it in this perspective a lot. However, being as poetry is subjective, I can definitely understand your viewpoint.

I beg to disagree. Not all words that proceeds out the mouth of a man is reasonable. Poetry however comprises words carefully thought of.
