That is a good one. Ive got a recording of it by Arthur Pryors brass military band, no strings but it is awesome. It kicks butt.

One I always liked was the theme from Forbidden Planet. I had it on a 78 RPM record I think it was by David Rose. It had all the cool electronic music plus an orchestral theme.

Sing, Sing, Sing by Benny Goodman from his 1938 Carnegie Hall jazz concert. Real classic jazz. They say Gene Krupa broke three sets of drumsticks doing that 11 minute number and all those high class people in the audience were dancing in the aisles.

For sure. He was one of the best of the big bands.

Another from that era was Begin The Beguine by Artie Shaw.

One I like is Whispering, the 1922 version by Paul Whiteman. Even with the scratchy acoustical recording it still sounds good. Theres something about it that just feels right.
