This is the place for readers of poetry. Discuss poetry and literary art. You can also discuss music here, including lyrics. Also, you can discuss poets themselves, in addition to poetry.

The only vinyl rock record I have anymore is Chubby Checkers twist album. Ive got one by Linda Ronstadt, but it is not true rock.

I grew up in the 80s and 9Os , so I like the Rolling Stones, Eagles, Bon Jovi, etc. I listen to Pearl Jam, Stone Temple Pilots, Temple of the Dog, and Nine Inch Nails mostly now.

I surprise everyone who listens to my playlist because I have everything from gospel to grunge.

Absolutely yes, love the Beatles, Stones, Eric Clapton, classic rock from a dying era. They don't write them like that anymore!

Love Rock music! The Beatles have spanned so many generations with their music! I am partial to quite a few different bands, JJ Grey and Mofro, Pink Floyd, Pearl Jam, and Chicago to name a few.
Anyone a Tom Waits fan?

I really love indie and alt rock at the moment. The Yeah Yeah Yeahs, The Dead Weather and Black Rebel Motorcycle Club are what I'm listening to the most lately.

I just recently got back into collecting vinyl again, among them, I have The Kinks, The Cars, AC/DC, and Duke Ellington. Love the sound, and the smell!

They just don't make music like they used to. I wish I could travel back in time and experience the greats first hand!
The Beatles, Queen, Foreigner, Pink Floyd, Guns and Roses...all of it!

I think everything I listen to may be a bit heavy considering what everyone else suggested but you may like Chiodos.

Heavy like Pantera, Orange Goblin, Baroness, and Iron Maiden or heavy like Sex Pistols, Zeke, the Misfits, and Speeddealer? I pretty much listen to all types of music, but the favorites are usually classic rock.
