Yes, I have shed some major tears over this one, as I tend to listen to it when I'm feeling down on myself and need to lift my spirits!

I agree with you on this one! My dad was in Operation Desert Storm/Desert Shield when Whitney Houston sang this. I was nine years old, and a local station would play the recording every morning at 6:00 am. I would get up early just so I could hear it!

You know what, when I was a kid, I didn't understand how songs made people cry. Then when I turned eighteen, I finally caught the experience. The song was called paradise on earth, and when I heard it, I couldn't stop shedding tears of joy. To make it embarrassing, I was crying on the bus.

Fireworks After Midnight by Gold Motel. It always reminds me of my first relationship that lasted three years but should've ended sooner than it did without very good closure.

Now I'm yours but, one day soon, it will be otherwise
All your love won't be enough, I have realized
fireworks are almost over; it's after midnight.
One last time, pull me closer, after midnight.
First you're laughing, then you cry.

Has a song ever made you cry? There have been more times than i can count that a song, from varying genres, has made me burst into tears, whether because the song was so sad or because it hit a chord deep in my heart. Songs like Almost Home by Craig Morgan have made me bawl my eyes out like a baby because they're just so sad and they break your heart. Other songs such as Sunrise by Our Last Night have made me cry because I was at such a deep, dark, low place in my life and I felt that someone, somewhere understood how I felt and was telling me that I would make it through and that I would be ok. Songs can be very powerful and can touch people just the right way sometimes.

Oh so many songs bring me to tears. To name a few; Ronan by Taylor swift (about a four year old boy dying of cancer), Yellow Butterflies by Meg and Dia (about a mom who turns her back and doesn't make it in time to save her drowning child), Last Night by Skillet (about telling God you are committing suicide), Lucy by skillet (a couple who ends up regretting their abortion)

Disciple has quite a few of those kinds of songs. :)

A song that I've been listening to a lot lately is David Grey's Shine - it's a really beautiful song about the ending of a relationship that I think is so true and relatable. Definitely a tear jerker for anyone coming out of a relationship, I'd say.
