Lana Del Rey, Anyone?

Post by anicole27 »

A show of hands, who adores Miss Del Rey?

I for one thing she is a beautiful talent, she has a lazy voice that drips with grace. Her song Young and Beautiful was made for the cinematic scene, so glad it was in the Great Gatsby. This is a young chick that's pretty as a pin up and thinks she's a gangster Nancy Sinatra. Any thoughts?

Why of course. She's very beautiful and her voice is one for the books. ( See what I did there? )

I agree she has amazing talent and is gorgeous. I was so glad her song was in the Great Gatsby (I'm watching it at the moment actually!)

She's a pretty good singer and I like the melody that her songs have.

I instruct group fitness, and use a lot of her songs for cooldowns. Someone usually ends up asking me who it is.

Her voice is incredible... and her presence admirable. When looking into her lyricism you are bound to find a treasure trove of surprises, with songs on deeply missed lovers. To more topical subjects like "my pussy tastes like pepsi cola."

Haunting and dreamlike; very few pop stars have her caliber and versatility.

I adore Lana Del Rey! It is true, and I completely agree of her voice being lazy and yet graceful. Her songs carry a lot of soul and heart in them.
Carmen gets me every time.
Summertime Sadness is one of my favorites. Always gets stuck in my head.
Blue Jeans completes my heart.
And Video Games completes it all.

I'm very excited to see if she can outdo herself on Ultraviolence!

I love Lana, I wish I could go to her concert, but it is sold out! Her music really speaks to me, I never tire of it! Her videos also compliment her music, which is amazing. I feel like there are so many layers to her songs, and her beauty and grace is timeless. I admire that she sings about both women and men, allowing all forms of love to have a voice within hers.

I listen to her sometimes, she has a few great songs... but I can't listen to her for too long because I get really lazy, sleepy...
