This is the place for readers of poetry. Discuss poetry and literary art. You can also discuss music here, including lyrics. Also, you can discuss poets themselves, in addition to poetry.

My favorite song at the moment is probably "I Built A Friend" by a singer named Alec Benjamin. It's just so out of the ordinary and still emotional at the same time.

I'm obsessing over My Chemical Romance's "Cancer" , the lyrics are so haunting and sad.

I'm a big hip hop fan (not so much the newer generation of it) and I believe there is so much poetry intertwined with good hip hop. I think it is a factor in many genres but hip hop especially. The ability to rhyme and tell a story to a beat is an impressive skill.

Not so much as a favorite song as a favorite singer. I'm pretty much into listening to Adele right now. Some of her songs like Turning Tables and such. Might be my mood. I write my own stuff as well and for that I like to listen to whatever mood the story is going into.

My favorite song is A Thousand Years by Christina Perri. I also like Thinking Outloud and Photograph both by Ed Sheeran. There are far too many songs than I can count, but these probably make the list of my favorites. I don't read that much poetry, so I don't really have a favorite in that area.

Music. But... i also like poetry.. i chosed music because of it's enjoyable sounds and easy to express feelings because of straightforward lyrics written on it. While poetry have this deep word/vocabulary. Which is hard to understand by some people. :eusa-think:

Ironically I find music to be poetic. I think songs are just poetry to music. I couldn't particularly choose, but if I had to, I'd pic music, because it speaks deep thoughts and emotions. Many poems are deep and do the same, but with a melody attached it tends to be catchier or draw immediate attention.

Music because music just speaks to me. If you are happy you listen to a happy song if you are sad you listen to a sad song.
