I'm thankful for a long weekend with nothing that needs to be done other than relax.

1) Most important of all, I am thankful for a wonderful husband who has stuck by me through years of ill health, depression, monster bills that come with being sick, even with great coverage, family dramas that would send most people running - and rightfully so (I would), huge vet bills for the pets that keep me sane, for always hugging me when I need it, for holding me when I need to cry, for listening when I need to vent, and for a million other reasons. Married 12 years, together 13 and known each 20 years. Yup, I'm probably sharing more than anyone wants to hear, but he's the best guy a girl could ask for and cute to boot! No it's not all sugar and spice, we have the same ups and downs and rows all couples do, but I need to remind myself of how horrible life would be without him when I get to the end of my patience.

2) Thankful for my cats and dog, who love me no matter what and always bring a smile to my face.

3) Thankful for having a very special best friend I met when we were just 18. She has lived all over the country, been married twice, has two kids, is busy as hell, but if you need her, she's THERE! I try my best to do the same for her, but I think if we counted up favours, I'd still owe her a few thousand!

4) Thankful for my parents, because while they unintentially cause much of the afore-mentioned drama, they have always loved and supported me in every phase of my life and everything I do.

5) And finally, I'm thankful for the internet and online forums. They have allowed me to reconnect with other humans while stuck at home! (God I miss working!)

My family and friends..."Enough"...and knowing what enough is...continuing to be ambulatory and having many many many more "good days" than "bad" and adapting...always the ability to adapt! Oh...and still being ALIVE...since my projected expiration date was 2009
