Really cool movie, I'd give it at least 9 out of 10

One of the good old good ones, Red Ball Express from 1950 with Jeff Chandler, Sidney Poitier. One of my favorites. About an army transportation unit that ran supplies to Patton's army in Italy during WW2. One of the best this one.

Yesterday I watched a movie that made a deep impression on me. Son of Saul is a Hungarian movie that takes place in Auschwitz in WW2. Like any Holocaust movie it can be a hard watch, but it's a very good movie. Saul works as a Sonderkommando, an inmate who is forced to help herd the incoming Jews from the selection process into the gas chamber. After the people undress and are led into the chamber, the door slams shut. The sonderkommando began pilfering through the peoples belongings, gathering valuables under the watchful eyes of the German guards. In the background you began to hear the screaming and pounding of the people in the chamber as they are gassed. After the gassing the sonderkommando quickly drag the bodies into the "cremo" and began scrubbing the floor of the chamber of all the blood, etc...Two things happen early in the film. Saul recognizes the body of his young son in the chamber & makes an attempt to get the boys body so he can have a rabbi say the proper prayers and burial. Secondly, the members of the sonderkommando hear a rumor that they are to be liquidated and replaced. These Jewish inmates' knowledge of how the death camp operated was considered dangerous, and they were killed and replaced with new men from time to time. The men decide to take matters into there own hands and attack the Germans, an event which actually happened in 1944. The movie is tightly shot, the camera follows Saul around the camp. He keeps his head lowered at all times, never making eye contact with any Germans. In the background people are beaten or shot, he goes about his task without looking. His survival depends on it. The movie is nightmarish, I thought about it a lot today. I would advise anyone to see it. 9 out of 10...

I watched Ouija, I love horror flicks. It was only a 3, nothing special. I watched a lot of horror flicks and this one didn't make the hair on my neck stand at all.
