Will only eat at home

My daughter boyfriend refuses to eat at out place. He will eat at restaurant and at home. He has no reason for this just say he wont . I am wondering is this just him or is there other people that do this. what is your reasoning for it

I have never heard of it. Maybe he is just a sloppy eater!

maybe, that would make feel better about my cooking being to gross to eat.

Do you have pets? My husband has an uncle who won't eat at someone's house if they have indoor pets.

no pets. he say he can only eat off the dishes at home and that he rarely eats at restaurants.

Maybe he has allergies to ingredients in certain foods. I have a great nephew who can become seriously sick (hospital sick) if he eats certain foods. He is acutely aware of this and is very cautious about eating foods not prepared at home. Perhaps because this guy is your daughter's boyfriend he is afraid of making a bad impression on you if he were to tell you this.

I would simply ask your daughter to find out what is going on.

Someone with a severe allergy will get sick if their food's even prepared in a pan that has cooked their allergen, no matter how many times, or how well it's been washed.
