Helping your kids love to read.

Post by mthomas14 »

So what do you do to help your kids have a love for reading?

I had been reading to my oldest daughter before bedtime every night as part of our "me time" together (as with 3 kids individual time with them can be hard to find.) she would get to pick out the books. Now with school started and her in 2nd grade she has a reading log to do nightly and I let her read to me as part of bedtime instead (I still am reading to her a separate book on weekends...the first book of the Harry Potter series she is loving it so far).
