Question with a Book Review

Post by alwaysdaddygirl »

Aloha,

My review was denied twice due to being short. However there is a reason for that. This book is racist, etc. Will someone read the review and suggested how to make this longer, please?

There is a reason I did not put certain quotes from the book. I explain why in that review. Not being rude, I can provide evidence from the news of racism and what happens when someone speaks against it. To be more specific when a mix person, etc make a negative comment. If I know this book was about race, I would never touch. Again, that is hot topic in today society.

Please help. Mahalo.

Are you are saying that your review was immediately blocked/rejected by the computer system before the editors read and scored it? If that is the case, here is what happened. A review will be automatically rejected by the OBC computer system if it doesn't have both of the following -

1) A minimum of 400 words
2) A minimum of 5 paragraphs

There are other reasons why a review may be rejected by the editors, but it sounds like you didn't have at least 400 words and it got automatically rejected. It's a good idea to check that you met the guidelines for these two things before submitting the review. If you are using a Word Processing program to write the review before copying and pasting it to the site, there is usually a word count on the page - at least, that's the case on Microsoft Word. I am assuming the other program also show the word count.

Please help. Mahalo.

Your review was probably blocked/rejected by the computer system because it was too short and not because of its content. You are not required to put quotes. Please read the Guidelines & Basics (on your review team). it includes "Expert Advice for Writing a Review". Good luck!
