I prefer tapes to C.D.S...I hear no difference in the sound quality...and if there is, I'm no " tecchie " so it's good enough for me........I suspect the " speakers " trump everything, mine are outstanding...

Hope you're doing better Geneen!...
I think its a toss-up. It depended on how they were recorded. Some tapes are better, some CD' s are better. I think 8-track sounded the best because they ran at a faster speed. Biggest problem with 8-track is that they had a nasty habit of turning into birds nests. One thing about CD's, in theory they never wear out. Now they say CD's will go the way of records and tapes, they use other things now for music.

B.H. I wonder what the 22nd century will bring?...maybe by then they'd have perfected the P.C. to the point of running better than a car that's a LEMON...............OR a C.D./DVD that's REALLY indestructible

Happy that today ( so far ) no puter probs..
the whole red snapper is baking in the oven, Vera Cruz style ( w/the peppers and onions........)

Suzy, hard to tell. Maybe devices plugged into our heads or up our..... or something like that.

My PC is working OK. I keep it going with duct tape and bailing wire, give it a good kick once in a while to make it behave.

Cant think of much that made me happy today, unless it was the potato salad I made that turned out pretty good.

Heard at the weekend that "studies show" that if you eat potatoes (spuds) on their own you put on weight but if you eat them with butter (preferably Irish Butter  ) you don't.
I've waited years to hear that - I do love the bit of butter on the spuds!
I refuse to listen when the inevitable future studies will show the direct opposite!

Fran, that sounds like an urban legend. But if its true Im all for it. Whats the difference between Irish butter and other kinds? Are Irish cows more health-conscious or something?
