I think its a toss-up. It depended on how they were recorded. Some tapes are better, some CD' s are better. I think 8-track sounded the best because they ran at a faster speed. Biggest problem with 8-track is that they had a nasty habit of turning into birds nests. One thing about CD's, in theory they never wear out. Now they say CD's will go the way of records and tapes, they use other things now for music.suzy1124 wrote:Geneen,
I prefer tapes to C.D.S...I hear no difference in the sound quality...and if there is, I'm no " tecchie " so it's good enough for me........I suspect the " speakers " trump everything, mine are outstanding...
Hope you're doing better Geneen!...

My PC is working OK. I keep it going with duct tape and bailing wire, give it a good kick once in a while to make it behave.
Cant think of much that made me happy today, unless it was the potato salad I made that turned out pretty good.

I've waited years to hear that - I do love the bit of butter on the spuds!

The Irish farmers talk to their cowsBighuey wrote:Fran, that sounds like an urban legend. But if its true Im all for it. Whats the difference between Irish butter and other kinds? Are Irish cows more health-conscious or something?

Seems legit!Fran wrote:Heard at the weekend that "studies show" that if you eat potatoes (spuds) on their own you put on weight but if you eat them with butter (preferably Irish Butter ) you don't.
