Book Subscription Boxes

Post by TracyThomas81 »

Does anyone subscribe to any? My husband just bought me a Year subscription to Uppercase Book Box. I am so excited. I see that there are quite a few of them.

I just heard about something like this for young adults called Owlcrate.
Each month is themed, with a book matching the theme, and Little odds and ends. Tea, a note pad, bookmarks or whatnot.

Is that what it's like?

If so, I find it intriguing. Especially as a gift to a reader.

However, I'm way too picky in what I read

Grief is just love with no place to go.

Yes, that's what its like. There are some where 5 Curators choose their favorite books of the month, and you can choose which one you like. There are also ones that aren't YA, and genre based.

I suppose it's not for everyone. I read anything I can get my hands on. So it works for me.

I thinks it's awesome!
I hate that I'm picky. I would love that sort of thing. Waiting for the box to be delivered, wondering what would be in it...

I'm seriously missing out

The one I see most is on Book Riot Quarterly Box. Also comes in YA edition. I think usually 2 books (though not sure if hardcover or not) and a couple gifts. $50 each

That's just too much of a commitment for me

Has anyone ever ordered any of these? I've ordered a couple from Owlcrate, each month they reveal a theme, the ones I purchased were spooky and myths/legends, and they'll send you a YA book and a couple of bookish items that go with a theme. I've loved the boxes and have wanted to try other services. Any suggestions? What have you gotten in a box?
