Member Appreciation ~ BOTM Free Giveaway Series

Post by Scott »

I appreciate all of you so much! I wish I could afford to send you all a free gift, but I have the next best thing. Giveaways with really good odds. We're not talking one in a million here; it's one in a thousand. :D And that's not just once, but each week for the whole month. It's easy and free to enter.

As many of you remember, a while back I held a giveaway. Due to Amazon restrictions, the contest only allowed U.S. residents to enter. Since then, I've been brainstorming a way to hold giveaways without excluding our international members. While Amazon excluded international members, I like doing it through Amazon so everyone can know it's fair.

I figured it out!

So now I'm going have a giveaway series.

I'm going to start this week by giving away 10 paperback copies of the current book of the month, Ruby's Choice by Dawn Jones.

For US Residents

Just click here to enter the contest via Amazon. Amazon will automatically randomly select 1 out of every 1,000 entrants as a winner. If 10 winners are selected, the contest will end and new entrants won't be accepted. Otherwise, the contest will end in a week, and then I'll start a new giveaway of a different book or prize.

For International Residents

Unfortunately, I had to think of a workaround since Amazon excludes international residents. When people enter on Amazon, Amazon makes them follow me on Twitter. So as non-US resident to enter the contest simply reply to this topic with your guess of how many Twitter followers I will have total when the contest ends (non-US residents only). Whoever is closest wins. To keep anyone from getting edged out by other guessers, please separate the amount of your guesses by at least 20. Keep in mind, 1 in every 1000 entrants wins, up to possibly 10 winners depending on how many enter, and the contest ends when all prizes have been awarded or at 11:59 PM PST on November 11, 2015. I have 344 followers right now.

Again, I appreciate all of you so much for making Online Book Club possible! The thing about a club is you can't have one by yourself.

What a great idea! As an international member I would like to thank you for thinking of us and giving us a chance to win too. :happy-cheerleadersmileyguy: :text-bravo:

I already got the ebook, so I will try next time. :)

Tip: Share the giveaway link with your friends and family. Post it on your Twitter page, Facebook wall, and email it out, or whichever applies to you.

The odds do not reset. So if you share it with say 10 of your friends, there is a 1 in 100 chance they win. If 200 of your friends online enter, there is a 20% chance one of them will win.

Here is the URL of the giveaway for easy copyin' and pastin':

Aww, I tried and didn't win. :/ It's a shame because I can never find the book of the month books in my local/school libraries, but I appreciate being given the chance to enter the giveaway! Thanks Scott!

This is fantastic! I saw the tweet and retweeted earlier (I have some followers that love books, especially free ones!) and I've got friends entering as well. Thanks for this, and I look forward to all of em in the future!
