I agree, so very sleepy. Will see what the day brings later.

Here's my current moment of nature summed up in four lines...

It's cold.
It's dark.
It's wet.
How much rain are we going to get?!

The End.

It's cold,
Almost to freezing.
Is that why I,
Sit here a'sneezing?

The sun is out to play today.
I hope the rain will stay away.

I found myself running in the dark,
It was of necessity and not a lark.

I wake up today
And all I see are the clouds
I squint to look harder
But there is no sun to be found.

There's a chill in the air,
It actually smells like snow.
And this is the reason,
That outside I must now go!

The sun is shining.
The breeze feels nice.
Should I go to the park?
Who knows? I might.

I just saw a bunny-rabbit,
Next to a house with a gate.
If he just bought that home,
His credit must be really great!

Spring is long past. The grasses have traded their green supple texture for the dry crinkly colors of browns and tans. Like waves of three to four days duration, the temperature climbs to around a hundred degrees in Fahrenheit, and then it dips down to the seventies for a similar period. If the breeze comes from the west, it carries the cool blessings of the Pacific Ocean, but if it comes from the east, the furnace heat of the inland valley visits me. This is a lazy time for me – an opportunity to get caught up on my reading.

I heard an owl the other night. Needless to say, it made my day...er...night.
