The shark pictured on the poster for Jaws was a great white.
However the teeth of a great white were deemed not scary enough and so the teeth of a mako were used instead.

Are sharks wild animals that should be treated with respect?
Yes
Are they blood crazy man eaters who we should kill out of irrational fear?
No

Free diving with sharks is something I'd love to do.
Most shark species are under 3 feet long.
The largest shark is a filter feeder like whales.
People kill more sharks in a 24 hour period than sharks have ever killed people.
