My great aunt passed away on Thursday. I barely knew her and other then my dad and grandma being sad her passing will not really effect me. The thing that made me miserable was getting several tearful phone calls from her friends expressing their condolences. I felt terrible! I speak to her a few times a year on the phone but here are people she spent her life with feeling sad for me and my loss. She was a great lady and the world is poorer without her but I ended up crying to compleat strangers and being really upset by how much my great aunt meant to them.

I'm so sorry to hear that. That must have been terribly hard receiving the calls of condolences. I can empathize, when my husband lost a relative I barely new. I cried for his family and their loss. :(

I generally prefer to see the positive side of things whenever possible and look at the proverbial glass as half full. Having said that, when I find myself miserable, it's usually because I've done something stupid that I COULD and SHOULD have prevented!!! I'm sewing a quillow for my youngest grandson and have it nearly completed. This week I have been quilting (hand sewing with embroidery floss) little basketballs all over it (in hit or miss places on it-- no particular pattern) through the three layers, to keep the layers from bulking up when washed, etc. So one evening (I'd been working on it all afternoon and into the evening) I kept losing my needle and the needle threader-- not at the same time necessarily. I was getting tired and just not THINKING when I had to lay one or the other down for a minute. Then, while I was down on my hands and knees hunting for the missing item, I would get VERY frustrated with myself for not being more responsible about it! The next day, I DID get myself organized with a pin cushion nearby and have saved myself a LOT of frustration ever since!!! MISERY GONE!!

I understand, TrishaAnn92 and B3cca 3ll3n. I have cried with friends who have lost a loved one whom I didn't know. But my heart was breaking for my friends and their loss.

I had to make a doctors appointment for next month. I hate that, it can sometimes be up to a 5 hour wait to get in to see her.
