For Alison

I can feel your heartbeat
Still beside me, as I sleep
I can taste your kiss so sweet
That lights my life; so dark, so deep

I still sense your tender touch
Your gentle smile; I loved so much
Yet life on Earth was not enough
This World for you was far too rough

So God released your soul to soar
In search of some far distant shore
And when at last my life is o’er
I’ll find you waiting at Heaven’s door

Rest in peace. Alison, my eternal love
