Riffs by Sean Bracken

A rough feedback echoed, it was brought under control,

When it was massaged, it became a scream.

Then the scream being chanted, a thunderous chorus from the crowd,

Became a living memory of a kiss, an all-consuming, tormenting passion

Overpowering a mind torn to pieces by guilt and confusion

A passion short-lived never meant to have been

Replaced by the music of life long before the destruction

Suddenly the song and the music transformed me, to who I am now, not who I was

Far off in the distance, alone in a crowd, a solitary tear snaked down my face

From out of the riffs, the solos, the drums and the pyros, came rebirth,

The taste of her lips erupted once more, and the sounds all around me helped me to soar

And fly with a passion that I once felt before her kiss took my lips and shattered my heart
