It’s within, it’s without. Good or bad cause, regardless it lingers like a stain on a shirt. Loudly presenting itself to the eyes, thoughts of others. Within the blink of an eye; no real spark to make it ignite, purely of emotions it erupts and becomes inevitable. And us? We play with it, confident it won’t sting, not understanding why we do it; picking the scab solely because it seems right. It evolves, becomes a part of everything and everyone. It takes many faces and it Takes many faces; hidden in souls, slipping into ingredients, revealing itself in frames, stuffed in voluptuous gifts. It preys while it prays and no matter where one thinks safety is, it’s there. In them, with them, amongst them, and with pleasure they feed it; knowing unknowingly.
