I really enjoyed reading this book. It had so much pain in the young girls life and having not being loved by her parents. It is very sad how her life consisted of more pain. You could her pain.

Child abuse and rape are big topics that have to be approached carefully. Your review illustrates that Rumney does this and allows for the character to be redeemed somehow which doesn't always happen in real life. Thank you for the review.

Great review! This book isn't for me because I am not a fan of war or conspiracy. However, I congratulate the author on receiving such a raving review.

It's great that historical fiction involves issues that are still very relevant today. The circumstances may change a bit, but abuse, assault, and bullying are all still finding victims. Kudos to the author for finding a way to extend this discussion to a new forum and to the reviewer for introducing us all to the book.

Nice review! Revenge as life's objective is a heavy load. It leads one to do whatever it takes just to revenge even if it causes his or her life. Life's cruelties brought by other people is a life changing event.

Great review. I am reading this book now and cannot stop reading. The abuse Julia suffer from first her parents and then Sulla is heart breaking. I can't wait to finish the book to see what happens.

I would like to read Our eternal curse I by Simon Rumney because it is symbolic and also spiritual. This also makes for a great winter read in between the winter holidays and the spring holiday.
