Thank you for such an honest review. It sounds like a very inspiring story. I think that the inconsistency between possible intended audiences could actually be beneficial to some students. I worked in a special education room for a year, and hose students would do well with this book. It is formatted for their age group, but at their reading level. Just food for thought.

Despite, the errors in the story, I love the plot idea. I like how it tackles tough issues like bullying but does it by using animals. Sometimes animal characters are preferred because it makes it easier for certain children to read the story. For example, if a young bullied child reads a book about another bullied child, it may bring up horrible memories. If it is an animal, they can disconnect themselves from it a little bit and look at the story objectively.
