I forgot all about this. Loved it as a kid. I have been trying to think of a book of short stories to get my child more interested in reading. I will try it.

I used to give this book out as gifts. Theres just so many things to leave from Shel Silverstein from morals and values to just being a good person.

Shel Silverstein is the greatest. My sister doesn't like to read very much but when i introduced this book to her she read it in one sitting. She keeps it above her bed so now I have to figure out how to get it back ;P

I remember my old 5th grade teacher reading from it at the end of the school day. I can still hear his voice when I read some of them, and as an adult, I bought the book for my own kids to enjoy.

My son is currently reading this book with his dad and myself. We love it. We actually read five or six poems each evening before bed. Its fun and entertaing! I plan to continue my collection with more childrens poem books like this one.

I liked it more as a kid, but I do really appreciate the humor, illustrations and fun poems in this collection.
