Of Fire and Stars by Audrey Coulthurst

Post by AlwaysWorthIt »

Of Fire and Stars by Audrey Coulthurs is a book about a princess who has an arrange marriage to another land to create and alliance so that her land is protected.

Okay, so far, seems fairly standard.

Denna, the princess isn't exactly normal. She has an affinity of sorts. (You'll have to read to find out what kind). This affinity is growing and she can't control it. This wouldn't be so bad if the reason for the alliance wasn't to snuff out those with affinities, given those are the ones being considered "hostile".

Denna has another secret with the ever infamous Princess Mare (her future husbands sister).

These secrets put her on a path of duty versus love and self. Save the kingdom and her love.

Admittedly, this book was not amazing. It had all the routine outlines of any other YA novel. Special person. Special gift. Special love. Love vs Duty. Fights/war. Solution. Happily ever after??? (That one you will have to read yourself.

Based on my thoughts, I rate this book a 2 out of 4 stars. A book to read, but not get lost in.
It's Always Worth the Read.
