I prefer to be alone when I write, I feel that if im not alone someone will read over my shoulder and I hate that. I like that when I write I can be truly honest with my self and just write on how I feel or think or what I want.

Yeah, when I write, I need to be completely alone, otherwise I just can't do it. I admire those, who can write (good) when someone is watching over their shoulders.

I have to be alone with quiet. Otherwise I get too distracted and can't get anything accomplished.

I either like to be writing in the middle of the night by myself or writing in a really crowded place like a coffee shop or bar. I hate writing with just one or two people around me because I get way too distracted. I also have to set up a certain ambiance when I write at home. I've got to put on my favorite writing albums and burn some incense.

Alone because then I'm not distracted.

Alone and with music. Trying to write with others in the room can be distracting, it seems like as soon as I start writing with others around, they start trying to talk to me.

I have to be alone to write. I can brainstorm, outline, and edit around other people- though it is less productive. When I need to be creative, I shut myself in my office with a cup of tea and go into my own little world. It's easier. There's no point in trying to talk to me when I'm in the zone, anyway. I won't hear you.

I'm kind of itching to write right now, but I can't because my sister is here and she keeps wanting to talk to me or ask me what I am doing and whatnot. Getting a bit annoying and I can't get anything done!

I don't necessarily have to be alone but I would like for it to be quiet. My sister and I would often read in "companionable silence" with occasional chuckles and passage sharing.

That's great that the two of you can be together in silence. My sister is rather annoying and wants to talk all the time. :?

Going away to a remote cabin in the middle of the woods to just exist for a period of time sounds like the best idea for a vacation that you can think of.

Yes. I do best when it's just me, myself, and I - with a little background music to fill the rest of the space. :D
